Draugen Platform in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. A day with unusually calm waters but still a menacing sky in, what can be, an extremely hostile environment. My American friends asked me if where I was going would be warm, and they were surprised when I told them that the Draugen oil field was as far North as Fairbanks, Alaska, so no, not really!
